Hello, everyone.

I welcome you to my blog. The festive season is here again, where we all celebrate, eat, and be merry. No doubt the only way to have a proper festive season is to have a good plan in place, especially considering the economy of the country. Without a good plan in place, I doubt if one can actually enjoy the festive season. It happens every year, and it's more and more fun every year.

Everybody longs for this period of the year, whether they are celebrating or not, but at least to enjoy the holidays that come with it. Last year's season was really fun for me. I hope this one is no different, but instead it should be more fun. The festive season is when people from far and near who have not visited home in a long time do take the opportunity to go home and spend some time with loved ones. Work tries to stop one from spending time with loved ones, but the festive season offers us an opportunity not to let that happen.

If you don't have your plans on how to spend your Christmas holiday mapped out already, then you are making a very big mistake. With a plan in place, you tend to enjoy the holiday season much better, and with a plan comes a budget. If you don't have a plan yet, that means you don't even have a budget for your spending for the season, which is very wrong. Some people spend excessively during this period and end up broke after the whole celebration. Celebrate, but remember that the celebration is once a year and does not warrant you spending all you have worked for over the years.

Visit the city of Calabar.

Last year I spent my Christmas holiday in the village; it was fun, but this time around I am spending it with a few of my classmates in the city of Calabar. It is going to be more like a reunion, but just with my closest friends back then in high school. Trust me, I really look forward to seeing them again after seven years. There are times when we lose all forms of communication, but thank God we are keeping in touch now, and we all want to see each other.

The festive season makes more sense when you spend it with your loved ones. It's a season of love, so why spend it away from your loved ones?

Get mom and dad a gift.

I have been thinking about getting my mom and dad a gift this Christmas; they deserve it because they work from January down until December to make sure my siblings and I are well fed and clothed and even forget to do so for themselves. All they do is look out for us. I will use this festive season to show them a little appreciation.

Attend my cousin sister's wedding.

Many people fix their occasions during this festive season because they know everyone will be free from work and school. On my path, I have a lot of travels to do this festive season. I will spend Christmas with friends in the city of Calabar, but I will travel to the village before the new year to see my parents, who will be going to the village, as well as attend my cousin's sister's wedding. They have a big plan for the wedding, and I cannot miss out on whatever they have planned.

I just hope the funds to make the picture of this Christmas I have in my head a reality i complete before then.

Thanks for reading my post.
