Honestly, it feels like just yesterday , I could still remember how everyone was shouting “Happy New Year,” hugging people, making noise, and celebrating the new season. And now look at us, oops! we are already in the final three months of 2026. Seriously, time really does not wait for anyone at all.

We all know how it use to be at the beginning of every year, everyone is always motivated, we set new goals, we write some New Year resolutions, and also promising ourselves that this year will be different. Yeah, Me too, I did that. But then, life happens, everything did not go as planned. And before we know it, the year is already moving towards its end, errrrr! just like that!

About this year? If I’m going to be honest, 2026 has not really been a rosy year for me because I can’t really point to one big thing and say, “Yeap! this is what made my year.” Truth be told, It has just been a mix of everything. Some good days, some not so good days. Some days I look around me and feel inspired, like, okay, maybe I’m actually growing, I feel like maybe I’m actually getting better at some things. But then there are other days when it feels like things I wanted is really not working out. You that kind of thing when you want something so badly, and keep waiting and hoping, but yet, nothing still happens, that can be very disappointing.

In all, one thing I have learned this year is that life does not have to go exactly the same way as we planned, but we can still be grateful for some things. I am genuinely thankful for the people around me. Sometimes we get so carried away while chasing what we have not achieved that we even forget to appreciate what we already have. I still have a lot to thank God for, and honestly, that alone is enough for me. If being happy and spending good time with people you love counts as an achievement, then I have achieved a lot this year. Lol. Sometimes, it is those small and simple moments that end up meaning the most.

It is not like there were no happy moments for me. Of course, I have. There were moments when I laughed so hard that I forgot what was stressing me. There were also Moments when I just had fun and enjoyed myself without any pressure. They might not so big and loud achievements I can post about and say, “This was the highlight of my year,” but I believe they still matter.

And of course, my convocation day was one of those special moments for me in 2026. That was around March, It was a dream come true to graduate with good grades after all the stress, sleepless nights, and everything school put me through and I must say that finally closing that chapter felt so good. It really felt like I was ending one phase of my life and entering something new. It is definitely a day I will always smile about whenever I remember it.

With just a few months left in the year, I am not really putting too much pressure on myself anymore. I just want to enjoy the rest of the year, wait for the festive season, and most importantly, spend time with my loved ones. Honestly, I’m not expecting too much from the end of the year, I’m just waiting for the year to come to an end , so that another year can start already 😊

One thing I am still holding on to is trying to live healthier. Actually, I have made some small changes this year that I am really proud of. One of those changes is that I have stayed off from soda for a good while now, and I am really happy about that. Although, It might look small to other people, but for me, it is a progress, and think it’s worth celebrating:)

So yeah, when I look back at 2026, I may not have a long list of big and extraordinary achievements, but I know I have lived, I have learned lessons, I have had good times, and I still found reasons to be thankful. Maybe that is what this year was meant to be for me. I did not have everything figured out this year, but I am still moving forward, and still trusting that the next chapter will be much more better.
