Hello,Everyone.
Welcome to my blog and another wonderful edition of the hive learners' featured post. We all have cases where anger came through for us, and cases where anger made issues worse. No matter how many times it comes through for us, that does not make it a good tool for bringing change.
Most of the time, when we are angry, we do and say things we tend to regret when we calm down. Like my dad always tells me, you cannot use fire to fight fire. For peace to reign, we don't need anger to resolve issues. Most of the time, humans feel anger is the best approach to a problem, but the end result when we approach a problem with anger is always disastrous.
An angry approach to a problem won't bring a solution to the problem, because your mind is not focused and an unfocused mind cannot yield a good result. Everything we approach angrily ends up being unfruitful. In the long run, we regret approaching this issue the way we did.
Anger can help bring change, but in most cases, all it brings is a negative change. It is not a good tool for change. We should try to approach problems calmly and resolve our differences amicably.
Regretful Actions: When we are angry, it's as if we lost consciousness and we tend to do those things we vowed never to do, but because we are angry and not our usual self, we do them. After we calm down, we start to regret taking such an action.
Wrong Use Of Words: We cannot use words wrongly and expect a positive result. When we are angry, we tend to say whatever comes to our head without thinking about the other person's feelings. This is why we were advised to take words said out of annoyance and anger very seriously, because that is when the truth comes out. When we are angry, we say things without thinking or tasting our words.
Loss Of Life And Properties: Approaching a problem with anger can result in the loss of life and even property. I witnessed a fight between two traders. They had to fight because one of them approached a minor issue angrily by slapping the other. In the process of fighting, they pushed their goods off the table, and the goods were perishable. They regretted their approach to the issue because they had to bear the losses.
Loosing Bond: For every issue we approach angrily, we lose bond with the other person. You cannot speak to me angrily and you expect me to act like it's nothing. My attitude towards you will change. Many lost good friends because they approached the issue angrily. In order not to lose bonds with people, we should try to approach issues calmly, no violence needed.
