Hello, everyone.

I welcome you to my blog. One thing about the life we live is that we all have the tendency to be jealous even when we try to hide it; sometimes we hide it perfectly, and sometimes some glimpse of it can be seen clearly. Jealousy is cute when the person does it right and does not take any rash decision and calls it jealousy. There is also a thin line between jealousy and envy, and if you are not careful enough, you'd cross that line without even knowing you have crossed it. Jealousy just proves that thing or that person matters; it just shows you want something they are given to somebody else all to yourself.

Jealousy, in layman's terms, is that feeling you get when someone or something you value gives the same attention, name, or treatment to someone else. Trust me, there is no word that can describe that feeling. The moment you see a loved one talking to someone else the same way they talk to you, play with them the same way they play with you, at that point you start to feel some kind of way from your stomach to your chest and from your chest to every other part of you. Jealousy is like water poured on your head; it flows down to every other part of your body, and sometimes you just cannot hide something that much, and it shows on your face and even in your actions.

The difference between envy and jealousy is that jealousy understands that you cannot have a person all to yourself and there are times where you are forced to share what they give you, jealousy understands that from time to time they will have to be somebody else to also enjoy what you enjoy but envy fails to understand all of that and is only focused at getting everything for yourself without wanting to understand that there are times when others will get same amount of attention, love or even treatment.

Once you see yourself trying to control a loved one, you tell them not to smile with this person, hug that person, laugh with this person, or avoid this group of people; it has automatically crossed the line and has automatically become envy. Like I said before, jealousy is cute, but once it gets to the point of envy, it is now dangerous and should be treated with urgency at that point. It is envy that pushes you to the point of hurting someone because you feel they are getting the same attention as you.

If I say I have not been jealous before, then I am a pathological liar. It is something everyone possesses and a feeling everyone is capable of feeling. One time my girlfriend posted a picture of her and a guy with love emojis. I could feel something crawling from my neck to my head, whereas there was nothing, just a feeling. Jealousy is something we all can feel.
