Hello, everyone.

I welcome you to my blog. The world we live in has gone from one where we had the liberty of making choices to one where we have little or no choice at all. We now live in a world where choices and decisions are made for us, and we can do nothing about it at all. Trust me, our fathers and mothers had more liberty than us. During their time, you just needed determination and a little support, and before you knew it, you were living your dream life and working your dream job, but our generation is different. You can have all that and still not live your dream life and get your dream job.

During the time of our parents, they also had some level of resistance from the government, but it was not as bad as what we have today. Today, we have a government that does not support our dreams and aspirations at all. We vote people who only care about themselves into power, and somehow we expect to suddenly change when they get there, and in some cases, these people who only care about themselves force themselves on us by rigging the election and making sure they get what they want. All of these have made pursuing passion on this side of the world nearly impossible because we have been forced to be in survival mode; we just want to survive.

Many adults today are working jobs they never dreamt of because they tried all they could to get their dream jobs, but the system kept pushing against them, and then they realized they had bills to pay and people to take care of, and without a source of income, they could not do any of that, and they were forced to give up their passion and their dream jobs and settle for whatever was available just so they would be able to pay their bills and take care of the people around them. At least 80% of adults have been forced off the track they dreamt of and are now on a completely different track.

Working your dream job eases the pressure that comes with work; your dream job frustrates you less because you have the passion for it. When you are tired of your dream job, your passion becomes fuel and helps you to keep going, but when you are on a job you don't like or were forced to take, the story is different; you show up every day because you have to and not because you want to. Pursuing passion only works in a country that supports the people's passion, not in a country like mine. If you decide to pursue passion and keep pursuing passion for years, what happens to the bills you have to pay, what happens to your needs, and what happens to the people around you?

I will always support that we all pursue our passion, but in a country or a continent that allows you to do so comfortably, not in one that is already putting you under so much pressure. A country where graduates end up driving tricycles or, even worse, an individual has pursued a passion, survived the stress in school only to graduate and not be able to get a job, and is forced to settle for less.
