OCD's support is expanding!

Hello everyone! This is the 648th compilation post of OCD's latest curation efforts. It has been known that OCD has been supporting leading niche communities under its Community Incubation Program. However, there are still a lot of other niche communities not supported by OCD. This curation initiative will help in supporting those communities.

This newest curation effort aims to encourage authors to post in appropriate communities even if those communities are not under the incubation program. This will also encourage users to explore more into the different communities in Hive.

How this Works

OCD curators and community leaders will find posts from other niche communities and recommend them for an upvote. Unlike those communities in the incubation program where curation is focused, this curation initiative is spread out. This will help find undervalued posts from smaller communities that deserve support.

This will highlight both the author and the community where the post is located. This way, smaller niche communities can focus on growing their subscribers and increasing the engagements within their respective communities. A small boost goes a long way.

Speaking of boost, here are the curated posts for this batch:

Keeping it close to home - Wednesday Walk

Finally got going on the walk. Always hard to leave the garden this time of year with so much growing so fast in the summertime.

A design for a DIY tool to safely remove ticks.

Tick bites are becoming an ever increasing problem these days, and safe removal is important; as a direct result.

This tool is my own design, and has been tested for over a decade; by several veterinarians and myself. To date, this design has removed several hundred ticks successfully.
It is built on a curved hemostat, using a hand file. An area is opened in the top of the jaws, that provides space for the tick's body; without compressing it.

Cycling: No more flat tires with DIY tubeless

I've been using tubes for ages on my bicycles, despite knowing about the tech to eliminate this hassle. One day I got two flat tires within 30 minutes while cycle touring across Europe. F@$k!

Although tubes vs. tubeless is an endless discussion among cyclists, we can all agree that punctures are a pain in the behind. Thankfully the technology to mitigate punctures exists, and with a bit of patience anyone can give it a try.

Barbecue all you can!

My dad always did it this way, my hands were always burned as I couldn't wait for the potatoes to cool down. During the winter this is a real deal meal, also any kind of potato can be used. All you have to do is wash them (do not peel the skin) and bury term deeply into incandescent wood.

Wednesday Walk - Dean Village in Edinburgh - a beautiful residential area by the water of Leith

Well I'm glad to say that yet again Wednesday Walk has made me get out of the house on a wednesday evening to go for a nice healthy walk ! This time I took in the sights down at the Dean Village area of Edinburgh. Its a conservation area, with some of the buildings dating back a good 300+ years.

Community: The MINIMALIST

Balancing My Hobbies With Minimalism

It took me a while to be minimalist about it but I can say that I finally am a minimalist book lover. It was a gradual process that took years and it wasn't compulsion or anything of that sort. I always used to buy books because I loved reading, back then I used to buy at least one book every week.

Anarqu铆a Relacional [ESP/ENG]

Hiiii, today I would like to talk about this topic here because it's not information that many people handle or, also, it is part of their lifestyle and they don't know that it has a name.

The latter was my case, I was many years having relationships under this model and I didn't even know that this type of relationship existed.

Rio Day

When the weekend arrives, the most we want is to rest from all the work and stress of the week, what better way to have a good time on a Saturday than going out to enjoy a River Day.

We really enjoyed it when on Easter Saturday, my husband, my princesses, my sister-in-law and her husband went to a river that was just a few minutes walk from my mother-in-law's house.

Paseo con mi hija y mis amigos al Parque Cuevas del Indio / Walk with my daughter and friends to Cuevas del Indio Park.

Last Saturday after going to the yoga class at Parque del Este, my friends and I came up with the idea of going to the Cuevas del Indio del Cafetal Park, a National Park located in the area of La Guairita, El Hatillo municipality in Caracas, Venezuela.

[ESP-ENG]Cuando todo fluye con total Normalidad 馃榿馃榿 When everything flows with total normality

There are days that make you feel calm with an inner peace and so I feel I am taking advantage of my moment of happiness because today was a day that passed in total normality and the objectives were achieved regardless of the results for other people because other people's emotions cannot be controlled.
