When the weekend arrives, the most we want is to rest from all the work and stress of the week, what better way to have a good time on a Saturday than going out to enjoy a River Day.
We really enjoyed it when on Easter Saturday, my husband, my princesses, my sister-in-law and her husband went to a river that was just a few minutes walk from my mother-in-law's house.
It had been a while since we had been to the river and much less to this one we were going to, I really like the tour even though it is walking, one feels in another environment.
The dirt roads, the little houses full of flowers, some houses made of dry wood and mud (earth) with humble and kind-hearted people who greet you with a smile and even invite you to have a coffee.
All the green of the grass, the trees, the mountains and the immense sky above our heads made a beautiful landscape, walking with care not to get an animal that bites or jumps on us, cautious but happy.
The ascents and descents of the hills we did carefully, almost crawling down a slope, where I walked with my feet and hands too (laughs), but it was exciting, Ambar was carried by Aristides for safety.
While we were advancing we passed several rivers with little water, which we had to cross to finally reach our meeting point, the sound of the water running, a beautiful melody, its smell and its sublime freshness, by the edge of the river, we did not capture so many beautiful white lilies that decorated the passage.
With caution we passed through the rocks that were with a lot of moss, which made them slippery, we put up with each other and passed without problems, we were about to arrive.
When we arrived there were a few people, friends here, families there. All enjoying the cool, fun and relaxing atmosphere.
My sister-in-law and her husband were trying to catch some crabs that got in between the rocks, these very fast ones disappeared.
They, even though they live near this river, don't go there often, unless we go, so they took advantage of the river as if they were just another tourist.
We didn't waste any time either and as soon as we arrived we got into the water, which was divine, neither cold nor hot, its temperature was ten, spectacular to stay for a while.
I was floating in the water, something that relaxes me and connects me with nature, seeing the sky intertwined with the trees that made a roof over me, I always used to thank God for this opportunity he gives me to enjoy with my family in these moments of peace and joy.
Although the water was beautiful, we went out from time to time so that the girls would not bathe so much and catch a cold, we still had Sunday to go again.
Ambar looks so pretty with her orchid on her head, even though we had a nice walk, it didn't come out of their hair.
The look that radiates joy and satisfaction in my girls, is something I enjoy very much and everything I can do to make them give them to me every day is a challenge, which I must fulfill with moments like these.
After a while out of the river, we were already desperate to take another bath, to play in the water, swim, float and continue sharing as a family. We had one too many baths and only in a few moments did we get out of the water to take out our phones and take some pictures that we can't miss on our trips.
It was two years in which we were practically locked up and now that we have the opportunity to have fun for a while, we do not miss it for anything, even if it is something quiet, without so many expenses or luxuries, with this we are happy, whatever God puts in our way we are grateful.
When we had bathed enough, we went out to dry ourselves with what was left of the sun. Arianna had prepared a salad with fruits from her grandmother's garden, cambur, guava, orange, jobo and mango, it was delicious, Ambar was really enjoying it, she liked it a lot.
Then we got dressed and said goodbye to the river, until the next day, we took the same way back. In one of those moments my sister-in-law told me Leidimar to take some pictures of my brother's land, so mom can see how several bushes have been burned.
Although they are not very well visible in the photos, it made me very nostalgic how so many bushes have burned on my brother-in-law's land, it is large and a good part of it has burned, so many other lands around there, either because of drought or because someone ill-intentioned set them on fire. Thank God they still have many bushes to take care of and harvest.
Being at home, is the best place where we can be safe, comfortable and confident; however, it would be of great benefit that on the weekends we could take time to share things different from our daily routines, I love it, it may not be as often as I would like, but when the opportunity arises we do not waste it.
