Unpopular opinion: I think the design of Tesla's Cybertruck, despite the initial negative reception by some, just might end up being not only a success, but a trend-setter. I think whether it does or not depends on whether the functional aspects of it live up to the Tesla promises/hype. IF it does, I think enough people will get it for that and the design will eventually grow on them. If you question that, just consider how long the Chrysler PT Cruiser and the Chevy HHR models lasted, and Tesla's Cybertruck promises a lot more and doesn't look HALF as goofy-looking than those two automotive oddities!
FYI, there's not one but TWO movie inside jokes here. The first is more obvious, with Cam's imitation of the mutant Kuato. But the second reference is in the comic's title and is a little more obscure. 'Boxy but Good' is a reference to the 1990 movie "Crazy People", in which an advertising executive snaps and starts making bizarre and overly truthful advertisements. Tesla's truck reveal reminded me of one of said advertisements in particular:
"Buy Volvos. They're boxy but they're good. We know they're not sexy. This is not a smart time to be sexy anyway, with so many diseases around. Be safe instead of sexy. VOLVO. Boxy, but Good". 🤣
