Los días en Estados Unidos, ya eran distintos, no había nervios ni dudas, sino emoción. Lucas siempre era el primero en levantarse y dijo —Hoy será un gran día— Tomás revisaba su teléfono y Richard simplemente asintió. Minutos después recibieron un mensaje de Daniel Brooks que decía —Los esperamos en Apple Music. Tenemos algunos documentos finales que revisar.— Los tres se emocionaron y salieron inmediatamente.
La camioneta los espero y los llevó hasta las instalaciones, sin embargo, esta vez todo parecía distinto, por ser un lugar donde nacían proyectos capaces de llegar a millones de personas, en ese momento apareció Daniel los recibió con una sonrisa y dijo —Me alegra verlos nuevamente. Their days in the United States were already different—there was no nervousness or doubt, just excitement. Minutes later, they received a message from Daniel Brooks that read, “We’re waiting for you at Apple Music. We have some final documents to review.” The three of them got excited and left immediately.
The van was waiting for them and took them to the offices; however, this time everything seemed different, since it was a place where projects capable of reaching millions of people were born. At that moment, Daniel appeared, greeted them with a smile, and said, “I’m glad to see you again. “Today we’re going to take the next step.” They all went straight to the office, and on the table lay the official contract. Daniel continued, “Apple Music wants to work with Banda 17 to develop and promote their next music project internationally.”
Finalmente, llegó el momento esperado y era firmar el acuerdo más importante de sus carreras y uno por uno irá firmando. La felicidad duró poco, ya que ahora tenían que seguir trabajando y Daniel explicó la idea —Queremos lanzar tres canciones completamente diferentes para mostrar la identidad de la banda al mundo— Lucas y Tomás se miraron, puesto que la primera canción tenía que ser energética y llena de fuerza, la segunda sería una balada y la tercera mezclaría sonidos modernos con el estilo característico de Banda 17. Donde todos aceptaron.
Finally, the moment they’d been waiting for arrived: it was time to sign the most important contract of their careers, and one by one they began to sign. When everyone had signed, Daniel was the first to stand up and said, “Congratulations. Starting today, you’re part of a new chapter.” The three of them hugged each other tightly—it was proof that dreams, with hard work, do come true.
The happiness was short-lived, since they now had to get back to work, and Daniel explained the idea: “We want to release three completely different songs to show the band’s identity to the world.” Lucas and Tomás looked at each other, since the first song had to be energetic and powerful, the second would be a ballad, and the third would blend modern sounds with Banda 17’s signature style. Everyone agreed.
Al terminar la reunión salieron y todos aún los podían creer lo que había logrado, donde Lucas rompió el silencio y dijo —Tenemos que llamar a Michelle— segundo después la videollamada comenzó casi de inmediato y de una vez le comentaron que firmaron y son parte del proyecto. En unos días viajaré— donde ambas noticias hicieron que todos lloraran de la felicidad y cada vez más cerca de poder seguir creciendo como Banda.
When the meeting ended, they left, and everyone still couldn’t believe what they’d accomplished. Then Lucas broke the silence and said, “We have to call Michelle.” A second later, the video call started almost immediately, and they told her right away that they’d signed on and were part of the project. Michelle couldn’t believe it and all she could do was laugh, and she also had something to tell them: “I’m going to join you. They approved my permit and the project. I’ll be traveling in a few days.” Both pieces of news brought everyone to tears of joy, bringing them ever closer to continuing to grow as a band.
