So if I offered to read or watch your post for a stipend of about 1 steem and give you feedback, would you patronize me?
Come to think of it, people buy and sell votes, so it shouldn't be a big deal selling your attention. I think there is a market for that, maybe not now because a lot of us are still bent on earning but look at the possibility in about 2-5years from now. If steem actually scales in the number of creators, then there should be some of the demand for attention. We already have a case where there are more content creators than the audience. That deficiency can be catered for by someone willing to explore that option by creating such a service.

Now given a situation where content on steem begin to appreciate more and various curation teams start to search for unvalued posts, coupled with the increase of volume and quality of content, there might be a place for buying and selling do attention.
Example:
Let's say I have a curation team and the number one criteria for earning a $50 upvote or more from my curation team is a minimum of 10 organic comments on your post.
On the other hand, there are a group of steemians who offer their attention in exchange for steem. You can simply pay for their service and get what you need--10 meaningful manual/organic comments. A situation where it is cheaper to pay for people's attention rather than patronizing bots and circle jerking, I think people would be willing to explore that option.
I know it might sound strange but it is doable, especially in this sphere where it is very difficult getting people's attention.
I remember watching a YouTube video where a similar service such as the one mentioned above was talked about. So basically people are already exploring such services. It's almost similar to paying for reviews but here instead of reviews you're paying for comments.
Like I would say, there are opportunities everywhere, especially within the steem ecosystem. It goes beyond creating content. If I wasn't so passionate about creating content and sharing my ideas I probably would be making extra bucks doing something else but hey, this is what I love.
Value is subjective. That simple fact alone creates an infinite amount of opportunities for everyone. One of the reasons I haven't dwelled so much on the downsides of the hardfork. Hey, this has been one of my worst weeks earning wise (from creating content), but at the same time, I can optimize my time investment on steemmonster. I've got the time and the basics gaming skill. With better cards, I probably would do better in competitions. The point I'm trying to make here is that I'm not limiting myself to just one thing. I'm willing to try new things and it has worked out just fine for me.
Now to drift a bit. I am looking forward to doing interviews with fellow steemians from Nigeria (Lagos to be precise).
