For most of us, technological advancement was the stepping stone to the breakthrough we had all been looking forward to. Without all of these new developments, we wouldn’t be where we are today. Living in places where the system was literally designed to work against you, you had to make do with the little that you had at your disposal and the youth of today didn’t take that for granted.
When you look around today, you’d agree with me that content creation has become the way of life for most people. And it’s a whole career for others- it’s actually one of the best paying careers ever exist. And the good thing is that, there are always consumers out there as far as your content is what they’re looking out for. People are weird- they’d follow literally the weirded of things. That silly video you shot that you thought would out pull any likes is likely the one video that will make you known in the content creation market. However, it works differently for everyone.
One major part of content creation is filming. We have creators out there who film virtually their entire life for their viewers and it pays them well. But then again, with a billion of cameras flying around all the time how do people like you and I who prefer the quiet life keep ourselves from getting caught up in the web of the media. Well, we can’t really do much about this unless we want to wrap ourselves up in our rooms all the time.
I say this because I know my face is probably somewhere I never thought it would be. I’ve been to events where I have signed consent forms for my images to be used on social media for good reasons, obviously. And some of them I probably even missed till date. I don’t think we can entirely stay out of peoples cameras and what have you because it sometimes might not even be intentional.
There are devices out there that can capture very large angles and areas. Someone might be shooting their video and you having your coffee in a small shop down the road will someway somehow find yourself in there. A coincidence- that’s what it is. Unless my content is being used for the wrong reasons intentionally, I don’t think I mind being in others videos. I don’t like the fact that I might be there but honestly, I don’t really mind because I probably wouldn’t even be noticed.
Unless it’s for the wrong reasons, I believe we should let creators be able to do what they love and do best because we all in one way or the other consume some of these content.
All images belong to me.
