Good afternoon, blog friends, how are you? Today I'm taking you with me again on one of my trips. Last weekend, my husband and I were free, so we decided to take a "shopping stroll" to Gigli, one of the largest hypermarkets in Tuscany, famous throughout the region and beyond, about an hour from where we live. Visiting this place is always a pleasure for us because there are many shops we don't have here, and also because we travel along beautiful roads to visit. We usually take the highway, but this time we decided to take the regular route. Passing through Prato and Calenzano, where we at least enjoyed the beautiful views, as soon as we arrived at Gigli, we immediately noticed some changes since last time we visited. The hypermarket's furnishings and interiors are truly enormous, with two spacious floors: one dedicated to all kinds of shops and another to food and activities for adults and children.

Buenas tardes, amigos del blog, ¿qué tal? Hoy os llevo de nuevo a uno de mis viajes. El fin de semana pasado, mi marido y yo teníamos tiempo libre, así que decidimos dar un paseo de compras por Gigli, uno de los hipermercados más grandes de la Toscana, famoso en toda la región y más allá, a una hora de donde vivimos. Visitar este lugar siempre es un placer para nosotros porque hay muchas tiendas que no tenemos aquí, y también porque recorremos carreteras preciosas. Normalmente tomamos la autopista, pero esta vez decidimos tomar la ruta habitual. Pasando por Prato y Calenzano, donde al menos disfrutamos de las preciosas vistas, en cuanto llegamos a Gigli, notamos enseguida algunos cambios desde la última vez que lo visitamos. El mobiliario y los interiores del hipermercado son realmente enormes, con dos plantas espaciosas: una dedicada a todo tipo de tiendas y otra a la gastronomía y actividades para adultos y niños.

Some of the mirrored rooms are truly beautiful, and the interior and exterior architecture is also truly stunning. We immediately headed straight to Primark. I didn't take photos of the store, but I did a lot of shopping because they have really low prices. Then we strolled upstairs because the shopping area was too crowded. The interior architecture, even inside, is still very beautiful. In the main corridor on the second floor, my favorite, there are tons of bars and places to eat, both traditional Tuscan and international, various vegan restaurants, Chinese food, and Tuscan dishes like lampredotto sandwiches and stuffed focaccia. Throughout the corridor, there are decorations reminiscent of Florence, and a very beautiful wooden ceiling. Then there's the children's area, a perfect place for family outings, an area entirely themed around dinosaurs, really cute! With statues, themed games, and even dinosaurs to ride and use to roam the hypermarket, there are also interactive displays. In short, this place is a delight for both adults and children. Finally, we had lunch at KFC, which you might find easily in your area, but this is the only one in Central Tuscany, so for us it's a rarity, and it's always a pleasure because I love KFC fried chicken! Our shopping trip was nice, even though we only ended up visiting a few clothing and makeup stores. It was a beautiful day!

Algunas de las salas con espejos son realmente preciosas, y la arquitectura interior y exterior también es impresionante. Fuimos directamente a Primark. No saqué fotos de la tienda, pero compré mucho porque tienen precios muy bajos. Luego subimos las escaleras porque la zona comercial estaba demasiado concurrida. La arquitectura interior, incluso por dentro, sigue siendo preciosa. En el pasillo principal de la segunda planta, mi favorito, hay un montón de bares y restaurantes, tanto de cocina tradicional toscana como internacional, varios restaurantes veganos, comida china y platos toscanos como sándwiches de lampredotto y focaccia rellena. A lo largo del pasillo, hay decoraciones que recuerdan a Florencia y un precioso techo de madera. Luego está la zona infantil, un lugar perfecto para salidas familiares, una zona totalmente temática de dinosaurios, ¡una monada! Con estatuas, juegos temáticos e incluso dinosaurios para montar y usar para recorrer el hipermercado, también hay exposiciones interactivas. En resumen, este lugar es una delicia tanto para adultos como para niños. Finalmente, almorzamos en KFC, que probablemente encuentres fácilmente en tu zona, pero este es el único en la Toscana Central, así que para nosotros es una rareza, ¡y siempre es un placer porque me encanta el pollo frito de KFC! Nuestra salida de compras estuvo bien, aunque solo visitamos algunas tiendas de ropa y maquillaje. ¡Fue un día precioso!
