I know I desired a total transformation of my life a long time ago, but as I kept working on it on my own, I wasn't seeing the desired result I needed, even though I was making a little progress. I needed divine transformation by the Holy Spirit. Not that I am a bad Christian, but there is this level I desire to attain, and I knew I needed to be refined to get to that level.
All through the years I solely strived for this; all my effort was almost non-existent to avail until I fortunately met a group that helped me achieve this little level of change I desired all along.
One thing I noticed personally is that I thrive better with groups of like minds. Just like when I was in the uni, joining a group study was what helped me pass my exams. Reading along always feels boring and tiring, but once I am with my group study class, I am alive.
Surprisingly, the same group helped me gain a massive change in my spiritual life. In our group, you have to give an account of how you spent your day. The way you live your life – that pleased God or not, hurt fellow humans or was kind to others. How much of the scripture you studied per day, did you share your knowledge of the word with the group? A group where we pray together, fix fasting and midnight prayers month after month, and help others being cold in the spirit to stand up again.
One thing I know is that no matter how much I am pursuing my dreams and hustling with business and career to earn money and live a good life, the salvation of my soul is number one. If I miss it, every other thing will be meaningless. There is a revelation I know about God that has made me love him first and allow him to rule my life before any other achievements I need in this world.
So yeah, the greatest change I see in my life today is that my lifestyle speaks of God. I haven't known it all, but I am happy and peaceful with the level of knowledge of God and change I see in my life today. All thanks to this group of people whom their presence and contribution pushed me beyond my limit.
