Change they say is the only thing constant, and this change keeps moving and changing things as the clock ⏰ keeps ticking, waiting for no one. This is what we have come to experience as humans and has no power to stop change.

But the change that changes humans is a change that comes with experience, which could come in a positive way or negative way, leaving us with different emotions and experiences.

What Exactly Was It That Changed You?

When I see questions like this, the first thing my mind will always go to is how life is full of experiences. Experiences we never expected while growing up, especially when those experiences are of negative effects and emotions. Then I will remember my mother who always would tell us that life is a journey , and that every stage of our lives comes with different happenings. Be always prepared she will end it with.

With the above question, I can say a group of persons changed me because I see life as one that has dual purposes. The purpose to be very determined in life despite what ever negative emotions change has brought to us. And then, the purpose to always dream big and soar higher no matter how long this will take us because life’s journey comes with unforeseen circumstances.

I have a cousin of mine whom am very close with that you will think we are brother and sister. He will always come to my office when I was working 9:00 - 5:00 many years ago. Then he will bring all his worries and complains, how his senior sister was using him as a driver for her children school runs. All I will do is to advise him, help him with what I have and encourage him to be patience because time will change every situation.

And then he was luck 🍀 to travel to the United State of America 🇺🇸 after few years later, started making money 💰 and became a big boy. In fact, he made so much money as a pharmacist 👩‍⚕️. And it now happened he came to Nigeria 🇳🇬 after few other years to invest. He called on me to help him manage one of his properties with the agreement that he will process and help my children and I to travel to America 🇺🇸. So my mind was on this promise while managing all his resources at the site, protecting every materials and making sure to deliver the building, which I did after exactly two and half years.

To cut this story short, after five (5) of this promise, my cousin disappointed me big time. Not only was the American 🇺🇸 travel not successful because he did not play his card well, he also was not able to help me financially to at least start a business my mind was on, after building a place for him with my time. But this is change, because people change and will make you to change.

Life Definitely Will Continue:

And at some point, I saw him as my enemy and decided to do away with him as a negative impact in my life. Truly, sometimes we don’t need those we call family around us to excel in life because a saying has said that “family is not by blood 🩸 “. What does this mean? Family must not be only those we share DNA with.

I can tell you that I have come across so many people that helped me immensely today, whom am not related with. And indeed, most has brought so much positivity and good emotions in my life, making me to believe that God has destined our lives in a way we can’t understand. All we need is to continue to believe in ourselves, while making several efforts in life towards our dreams and goals.

In conclusion, life can be sometimes very challenging, especially in the present 21st century, where many things has changed from what it use to be. This also has made many of us to make many mistakes in our decision making including me,’. So I practically see life as one that is full of uncertainty and challenging. The world 🌍 a place where we need more focus to know where to channel our energies that will help us grow gradually, until we reach our expected destination. This perspective to life has also help changed me to pay attention to the things I believed in for constant growth.
