Sometimes, I imagine what my life would have looked like in certain situations without music, and each time music kept coming through for me, I kept expressing gratitude for the gift of music to man. Do you know that music has a way of speaking to our soul directly, giving us an unusual connection and understanding about life? Music is obviously more than a sound, more than entertainment, but a soul saver, or better say, a refuge, especially those music with meaningful lyrics passing messages to the lives of people accordingly.

Over the years, life kept unfolding itself to me, sometimes rosy and other times taking a different unpleasant turn, but in all these, I have been finding a safe space through music and through some certain artists who, through their songs, bring comfort, healing, encouragement, and more to my soul.

Listening to my favorite music changes my emotions; it makes me feel happy, relaxed, and energized and brings warm feelings to my heart. Depending on my mood, it could send me into deeper reflection that could bring tears to my eyes.

I remember the time I experienced depression; it was the worst moment of my life as I kept acting strange, as if I were not in total control of my life, but then, there's one of my many favorite songs, which I usually replay morning and night. Once the feeling of sadness wants to overtake me, I will quickly stretch my hands to get my mp3, lower the volume, place it on my bedside, and carefully listen to the music, especially the lyrics, reading meaning into every line of the lyrics.

The song Jehovah Overdo by Chidinma has been one of my favorite songs amongst many others, but then, there are lots of things this song teaches me, which, till forever, it feels like Chidinma released the song just yesterday.

This song makes me feel the warm embrace of hope and reassurance. It reminds me that despite how overwhelming life gets, there's someone in heaven who can make things right for me. Even in my hopelessness, the song lifts my spirit and keeps me positive. Reflecting on the lyrics changed my perspective about life, and I have encountered personal testimony through the song. I think when we listen to music beyond its sounds, we will get more revelation that could change narratives for good.

I have experienced darkness, filled with uncertainty; I was always gripped in fears thinking about the outcome of the storm I was in, but whenever I click on play, this song magically restores hope to my wondering soul. I really doubt if I can express very well how much this song has impacted my life, and that's why I can never get tired of reviewing this song or, better say, sharing how I feel about it, not getting tired of playing it always.

Through the lyrics of this song, I got inspired to let go of my constant worries and embrace a mindset of gratitude. I never get tired of the messages the song teaches me; each listen to the song feels like the first time. Whenever I need to boost my confidence, reflect, or need comfort via music, it's my go-to track.

Overall, this song speaks to my soul in ways I can’t explain all through text.
