I did a 2 kilometre warm up in and around the car park before heading down to the start line. Unfortunately it did not help me get a personnel best for this course today. It felt like I was moving pretty well but the up hills seem to get me. I suppose I will just have to focus a little more on the hill sprints in training.
7th place overall out of 52 runners and walkers in a time of 25:50, 34 seconds slower than my PB. The graveled course with 90 odd metres of elevation gain gives me a pretty low aged grade percentage 60% of the world record, but I did win my age group LOL!
No PB but I did pick up a Wilson index number for the 5 kilometre app challenge. It is pretty hard as a parkrun tourist trying to pick up event numbers but I only need 5 more numbers to make to 100. Nowadays an event number 1 is hard to find but I was lucky to make it to a few launhes years ago and have just got a few of the higher numbers left.
Other than the running I spotted some wild flowers and a wallaby nearby, overall a really good start to the weekend.
