Harris Ave parkrun is another interesting named event. There are lots of things here, where it is held but parkrun headquarters chose to name it after the road which you drive on to get there??? It could have been called Narangba, The Eagles Nest, after the soccer club house where you start or Norfolk lakes which is the body of water the course runs around. Anyway, Harris Ave it is! To be fair the whole group of ovals nearby are called the Harris Ave Sporting Complex but that would mean technically it should have been call the Harris Ave Sporting Complex parkrun. No short cuts please.

Either way it is a pretty good parkrun 2 laps of a pretty flat mostly paved path. We have done this one twice. Once with one of our running groups and another with one of my old work mates.

We were the only ones not in a run down under top. The Run down under is an app that drags your strava run file and plots it on a map around Australia and or the word, for a price, I suppose that why we don’t have the shirt LOL From memory Travis the founder was visiting this parkrun the same day back in 2021.

Narangba is about 35 kilometres north of Brisbane, I still remember if used to be pretty empty but now it pretty much built out and the average house prices is over a million dollars!

My old work mate and one of his daughters. I ran back to find them after I finished.
