South Toowoomba has a great running community. They don't have the best course, but it was still a great visit. We actually got interviewed by one of the run directors for their social media page. Such a big group of hard-core parkrun tourists and volunteers, they loved hearing how we meet at a parkrun event in Zillmere and have been travelling and visiting new places as much as possible ever since. It was my seventy second different event and I was well on the way for one hundred. Toowoomba is at the top of the range behind Brisbane. About a two-hour drive west. It has three other parkrun nearby we have done them all, it is a nice town for a weekend away with some big farmers markets and a famous flower festival. It is sort like a big country town that is quickly becoming a satellite city.
We were there for the Easter weekend back in 2021 covid masks and social distancing was still a thing.

The park loop was a little tight in place with a few undulations, by the third lap, I knew there I could push a little faster.
Three laps around Middle Ridge Park and Roger Guard Lane on concrete and bitumen paths. The start and finish is located in Middle Ridge Park. I liked the out and back down the lane way because you got to see everyone multiple times. There are toilets nearby and coffee afterward was great swapping parkrun travel stories with other keen tourists.
