Hello friends, after a few days focused solely on digital work—with results I'm quite pleased with—we’re returning to paper and pencil. The traditional calls to us. You might think I'm joking, but even getting a pencil in my country can be a challenge. Now that we’ve got materials again, it’s time to draw.
Hola amigos, después de unos días de solo centrarnos en el digital con resultados de los que estoy muy satisfecho, volvemos con papel y lápiz. El tradicional nos llama. Pensarán que estoy diciéndolo en broma, pero hasta conseguir un lápiz en mi país puede ser un reto. Pero ya con materiales de nuevo, es hora de dibujar.
Well friends, today I was short on time and had only one hour to do everything. I decided to skip the warm-up and jump straight into drawing. If you've seen my previous logs, you'll know I'm still hooked on the book Fun With A Pencil by Andrew Loomis. I'm showing you the step-by-step process of creating the caricatures—using red and blue pencils for the sketches, and then inking over them with pen. It’s a process I really like and thoroughly enjoy.
Bueno amigos, hoy andaba muy corto de tiempo y en una hora tenía que hacer todo. Decidí hoy no hacer calentamiento e ir directo a dibujar, y si han visto mis logs anteriores aún estoy aferrado al libro Fun With A Pencil de Andrew Loomis. Les muestro el paso a paso de la creación de las caricaturas, utilizo lápiz rojo y azul para los bocetos y encima entinto a pluma. Es un proceso que me gusta y disfruto mucho.
I had a few minutes left to keep drawing, so I spent them making quick sketches with references. I picked three images to use as inspiration: a girl, a bear figurine, and an orange. I made several effortless, fast sketches, and I really liked the results—especially the ones of the orange. Well, that's all for today. Thanks for joining me for another day of drawing.
Me quedan unos minutos para seguir dibujando y los dediqué a hacer bocetos rápidos con referencia. Busqué tres imágenes para usar como referencia: una chica, una estatuilla de oso y una naranja. Hice varios bocetos sin esfuerzo, rápidos, y me gustaron mucho los resultados sobre toda la naranja. Bueno, todo por hoy. Gracias por acompañarme un día más dibujando.
