Hello, Sketchbook community! I hope you are all having a wonderful time. I’m so happy to be back—it’s been quite a while since my first post on Hive! Sometimes, we get so caught up in our daily responsibilities that we neglect things that are truly valuable. Today, however, I’m filled with joy; it’s important for me to feel good in this present moment—a moment where I find myself full of inspiration and affection. While negative things can happen, positive ones do too—and I like to think of these good things as flowers with sweet scents and delicate colors that bring me a sense of peace.
For me, finding peace is essential for my overall well-being, and it’s also what allows me to sit down and draw. Inspiration can be simple—uncomplicated—and I always choose to follow what my heart dictates. What I’ve drawn here is a small, nameless flower—it has no taxonomic classification; it’s simply a bloom from my own imagination, created using a pencil, four colored pencils (pink, purple, green, and orange), and a yellow wax crayon.
Hola comunidad de Sketchbook, mi deseo es que todos estén pasando momentos lindos. Yo estoy contenta porque estoy luego de tanto tiempo de mi primera publicación en hive. A veces nos dejamos llevar por las ocupaciones y descuidamos espacios valiosos, pero hoy me siento feliz porque para mí es importante sentirme bien en este presente en que estoy aquí con inspiración y cariño. Puede ser que nos sucedan cosas negativas, pero también suceden positivas y pienso que esas cosas buenas son como flores con aromas dulces y con colores delicados que a mí me inspiran paz.
Para mí es importante sentir paz para tener bienestar y también para mi es importante tener paz para sentarme a dibujar. La inspiración puede ser simple o poco compleja sin embargo lo que dicta mi corazón es lo que obedezco y lo que dibujé es una pequeña flor, sin nombre, sin identificación taxonómica, es solo una flor de mi imaginación que hice usando un lápiz, cuatro colores (rosado, morado, verde y naranja) y un creyón de cera amarillo.

These simple materials were all I needed to draw and color—using the proper techniques—a flower with green leaves. It represents my emotional state: reborn and fully committed to continuing on the path I began here on Hive. I am determined to make a fresh start, with no further obstacles standing in the way of this blog—a space I want to turn into a special little corner for myself and for the Hive community.
I hope you enjoy this drawing. I began by sketching guide lines freehand, then colored the petals pink, using purple to create effects of shadow and highlight. Next, I colored the leaves green, applying that same shadow-and-highlight technique. I added some subtle touches to the green leaves using a yellow wax crayon, and once the flower was complete, I framed it with strokes of orange and yellow.
Esos materiales tan sencillos fueron los que me sirvieron para dibujar y colorear con las técnicas adecuadas una flor con sus hojas verdes que representa mi estado emocional renacido y comprometido para seguir en el camino que empecé en hive. Estoy firme para reiniciar sin más obstáculos que se interpongan entre este blog que quiero convertirlo en un rinconcito especial para mí misma y para hive.
Deseo que les guste este dibujo que empecé trazando líneas guías a mano alzada, coloreando primero los pétalos de color rosado haciendo el efecto de sombra y brillo con el color morado, luego coloreo las hojas con el verde haciendo el mismo efecto de sombra y brillo con el propio colora. Con el creyón de cera amarillo hago unos matices en las hojas verdes y finalmente con mi flor lista la rodeo con unos trazos usando el color naranja y el amarillo.
