150th Featured Posts!

This is a weekly curation showcasing the needlework of our very own HIVEians.

Every Monday we get together to share our love and passion for the needle arts, posting from the NeedleWorkMonday Community and using the #needleworkmonday tag. On all other days we use the #needlework tag. We enjoy each other’s creations, ideas, patterns, tips and shortcuts.

As this is our 150th curation, all qualified posts will be included in our PPS once this post receives it’s payout next week. We have earlier decided to do one every tenth curation to give an extra bonus to our NeedleworkMonday community!

Any post that does not meet the guidelines (please see link to FAQs below for posting guidelines) will not be included in the PPS.

Although she has not used the sewing machine for a few months, when she went to the next town, her sewing started with a few yards of fabric that has cute strawberry prints. @pialejoana created this beautiful pair of dress for her daughter and her favourite doll. What a lovely and adorable pairing!

@monica-ene was assigned to the market to buy an embroidery flower for her boss but it became an inspiration to create her own at a cheaper cost. She studied how to make them and voila, she created some pretty ribbon flowers of her own!

@jicrochet shared a happy story of gathering but an unfortunate incident with her glasses which caused her to be absent from this community. But she is back here with a colourful earthy toned project, inspired by an image on Instagram. What will it be?

@edwarlyn11 joins us to share her first sewing experience with the community. She has been practising for some months under the guidance of her aunty and mom, improving her techniques and increasing her confidence until she successfully sewed a lovely polka dot blouse.

It was an experiment of shape and size. @lauramica decided to try a new design, inspired by a tutorial online, something she has been wanting to try for a long time. The result was clearly elegant and beautiful with her choice of fabric and design.
