Happy new week to all the creative minds in this family. I wish us the best ideas and connections we need to have a safe and fulfilled week.
For every needle work Monday project I have in the time past begin work two to three days before the time so I can have a finished and presentable work.
But combining this work with house chore and all my other personal activities have been really tiring.
Besides I have my boss work to meet up( am an apprentice at a fashion house) with and one or two friends in need of an adjustment for their outfit.
I must give credits all the mothers in the house who knit cook and combine all this activities, playing my mothers role here has taught me alot about what women go through.
Now I have learnt to take my time and relax when need be.
Am not comfortable with the breakdown and struggle to get back on my feet like I often felt.
For today's project I was at the market and needed to buy an embroidery flower for my boss when it down on me that I could also do the same and even at a lesser cost.
I got the orange fabric beaded flower and studied it well to make a replica.
Mind you I didn't want to loosing the orange flower in order to check out how it was made I just used my instinct.
Here are the process I followed.
Cut a circle of the fabric I was to used, fold into semi circle and cone.
Next I sewed round the base making sure that I left enough space at the center so I can pull it into a gathers.
Not knowing this was my first mistake.
I ought to insert the pearls or beads in between.
This was closed and I losened it again to start all over this time with the pearls.
For the finishing you just need to cover the top with either a warden stay and an ornaments.
Am often at a fault of not having glue to use with that.
I had a candle gum and the pistol but there is no light.
I think I need to keep a glue handy for at home
This was how I recreated this though with minor imperfection.
The imperfections had to do with the type of fabric I used, a thinner fabric ould make this ribbon) or broche as you would desire to use it) more flat and folded while this thick fabric struggled to fold in.
This would sit well on one of my dress and the day I use it beautiful I will drop a selfie for us to see.
You can do anything with a little touch of intelligence and open mind.
Think deep and something beautiful will come out of it.
I have been seeing beautiful needlework flying around already.
I will stag glued to my phone and enjoy your work.
Lots of love from monica-ene ππΉπ»β€π·π.
