Three celebrations and two types of beer

alt

Hello, friends around the world. Hello, friends at Hive, lovers of beer and the delicious things in life. Today, like every Saturday, we drink and share beers in Hive's most entertaining initiative: #beersaturday.

alt

Last Saturday was Valentine's Day, and at the beginning of this week it was Carnival. Also, on the 18th, it was my only brother's birthday, so yesterday we decided to go out, have a few beers, and celebrate all the dates we had to celebrate.

alt

We went to a well-known nightspot in the city where there is music, a dance floor, and, most importantly, great deals on beer: a twelve-pack of Polar beer costs $10. We bought two 12-packs with a variety of beers, dark and light, because although I prefer dark Polarcitas, the others prefer light ones.

alt

Anyone who lives in or has visited Venezuela knows that Polar is the most widely consumed beer brand in our country and is almost part of Venezuelan heritage and national identity. And although Cervecería Polar produces other types of beer, it is the owner of Polar Black and Polar Light, which are the most popular and widely sold beers in our country.

alt

Personally, I prefer Polarcita negra, also known as Polar Pilsen, because its characteristic bitter taste and strong hop aroma make it a distinctive and refreshing beer with a particularly malty flavor. To my taste, the dark beer is better than the light beer, which is blander, although some say that the light beer leaves a better taste on the palate.

After having two beers and refreshing ourselves, we gathered strength to continue with all the joy in the world. I would like to invite my friend josemalavem@josemalavem to delight us with a post on The #BeerSaturday Challenge - Week 451, an initiative of the #beer community and the incomparable and friend detlev@detlev.🍻😎
