Buenas tardes, Hive.
Good afternoon, Hive. I live here, very close to a beach. At this time of year, the coast is filled with sargassum that floods the sand, accompanied by something that people in my town call "caribe," which causes quite an itch, and later your whole body gets covered in rashes.
Doing some research, I found out the explanation that these are jellyfish eggs causing this effect. The truth is that every year around this date, it always happens, and it clears up after a few rainy days.
Due to the rains in the mountains, two rivers flow down and change the tone of the seawater. The truth is, almost as if it were a living being, the sea becomes furious when these dirty waters mix in, maintaining a very rough surf that crashes heavily against the coral reefs. In my home, late at night and in the silence, that sound can be heard as if it were the background music of a horror movie.
Here are some images of this very moment. They are all my own.
Have a great afternoon.
