Proyecto de Ingeniería Básica, Sistema de Riego por a Aspersión Semiestacionario Ternerito 3.
[ENG]
Good afternoon to the @stemsocial family and the rest of Hive.
We continue working on our project, the Basic Engineering design.
Today, we present the completed irrigation system for Ternerito 3. Once again, we have used WaterGems software for the calculations and AutoCAD for the technical drawing of the plan.
Since this is basic engineering, we should emphasize that we are not preparing the detailed construction drawings that we commonly produce for a detailed engineering project. These include the longitudinal profile, node development plan, setting-out plan, construction details for road and river crossings, and inspection chamber details.
All this graphical information is what takes us the most time. Here, we are progressing at a pace of one complete system per day, within the scope already specified. This speed is possible thanks to the fact that the calculation process in WaterGems allows several automated procedures: importing and scaling the background map, assigning elevations using an elevation-enabled DXF, and designing with the use of Darwin Design.
DESCRIPTION
- 8 hectares under irrigation: two 4 ha systems. One is supplied by reservoir 1, and the other system is supplied by reservoir 2. This is due to the water availability of each source.
- Maximum water consumption: 12 L/s.
- Two pumping stations with horizontal electric pumps: Q=4 L/s, H=43 m, P=2.2 kW, and Q=4 L/s, H=35 m, P=1.8 kW.
- PEAD (HDPE) main pipeline, Ø 90 mm, PN-6.
- PEAD (HDPE) distribution pipelines, Ø 75 mm, PN-6.
- PEAD (HDPE) irrigation laterals, Ø 50 mm, PN-6 (PE-80).
- Sprinklers with Q=0.22 L/s and H=24 m.
- Hydrants.
In semi-permanent sprinkler irrigation systems, all components are fixed, except for the laterals, which are movable. In our case, the application time for the irrigation dose is 1.4 hours. This means that the laterals will remain in operation for that period. Once the time has elapsed, they will be disconnected from the hydrant and moved to the next position, where they will remain for the specified time again. Every 8 days, they will return to irrigate in that same position, taking into account that an 8-day irrigation interval was obtained in the irrigation schedule specified earlier.
MATERIALS LIST
This brings us to the end of this post, in which we have completed the calculations, the general layout drawing, and the materials list for the Ternerito 3 system. All images are entirely my own, obtained during the work on this system. Thank you to the readers for your attention and patience.
