The customer had the display replaced because it was broken, and since she had kept the phone stored away for about two months, she couldn't remember the password. The same technician who replaced the screen performed a Hard Reset, but now the phone was asking for the Google account, and she didn't know it. She couldn't recover it using the phone number option either. With the phone turned on, we noticed the closed padlock in the upper-left corner, indicating that the phone was locked by a Google account.

When the phone turns on, we release the power button while keeping the volume-down button pressed until the Recovery menu appears. In this menu, we can see that it's a Tecno BF6, which is a Tecno Pop 7. We can also see in Recovery itself that it runs Android 12.

If you're observant, you'll notice how a single letter can change everything. BF6 and BF7 may look practically identical, but that's not the case. They have completely different processors, and in our situation, the processor type is essential for selecting the unlocking method.

We could try doing it with the UMT's UNISOC module, but personally, I have more confidence in UnlockTool than in UMT when it comes to these processors. We open the software and click the SPREADTRUM tab at the top. On the left-hand side, in the center, we select TECNO under Brand, and next to it, under Model, we select Tecno Pop 7 [BF6]. The software is now configured.

4- We click the ERASE FRP button, and when UnlockTool displays “Waiting for device” on the right-hand side, we'll connect our phone while it's powered off, pressing the volume-up and volume-down buttons simultaneously. Once the tool detects the phone, it starts reading its properties, and we can release the buttons. In just a few seconds—in this case, 41 seconds—the software will have unlocked the phone and will display “Erasing FRP...OK.”
4- Damos clic en el botón ERASE FRP y cuando en la parte derecha nuestro UnlockTool nos indique Waiting for device, conectaremos nuestro dispositivo apagado presionando al mismo tiempo los botones de subir y bajar volumen. Cuando la herramienta identifica el móvil, comienza a leer las propiedades y ya soltamos los botones. 5- Once the process is complete, the phone will turn on, and the first thing we notice is that the padlock in the upper-right corner has disappeared. We configure the phone and see that the Skip option is now available. And that's it! We've accessed the system, and the phone is completely unlocked.
