anoramic photography (panning) has always caught my attention—I’m not sure if it’s because I struggle to master the technique or because it’s just so much fun; either way, I’m always on the lookout for subjects to photograph. This time it was this beautiful shorebird; here we call it a galleguito.

os barridos fotográficos siempre me han llamado la atención, no sé si por resistirse a que logre aprender bien la técnica o por lo entretenido que llega a ser; el caso es que todo el tiempo ando buscando motivos para hacerlo. En esta ocasión fue esta bella ave playera; aquí le llamamos galleguito.

As I walked along the Malecón in Havana, it almost seemed like it was chasing me. Its attempt to feed on some fish gave me the chance to take a few photos of it in flight. They’re so agile—I especially loved their design; they’re aerodynamic, and the texture of their feathers as they flew struck me as fascinating.

Mientras caminaba por el Malecón de La Habana, ella casi podía decir que me perseguía. Su intento de alimentarse de algunos peces me dio oportunidad de tomarle algunas fotos en vuelo. Bien ágiles que son, sobre todo me gustó mucho su diseño; son aerodinámicas y la textura de las plumas al volar me resultó interesante.

I’m not sure if to call them snapshots or action shots; the fact is, it was fun, and trying to keep up with it using the camera was a challenge. Thanks, friends, for following me, for your time and kindness. Take care, and see you soon 😉.

No sé si llamarle barrido o fotos al vuelo; el caso es que divertido sí fue, tratar de seguirla con la cámara fue un desafío. Gracias, amigos, por seguirme, por su tiempo y amabilidad, cuídense mucho y nos vemos pronto 😉.
