My friend introduced me to this blockchain and all in my mind was about money. I was busy thinking of things how to catch the attention of a big amount upvoters, the whales. I did everything to learn how to correct my grammar, learn about quality content but it didn't happen as soon as I wanted. I noticed the people who commented on someone's post earn bigger compared to my longer posts. I switched gear and took my time slowly in posting and I focused on engaging content creators. Yes, there were comments from me that had a bigger reward but not all of them. I told myself it's fine this way compared to posting but not earnings at all.

Doing comments that I usually did every day in multiple posts I found myself enjoying. Later on, I stopped thinking about how to earn bigger upvotes because it's indeed true that money can be forgotten as long as you're enjoying the time. Of course, I was still hoping to earn, I will be a liar if I don't need money. Though what made me ignore not earning very well was the relationship with other content creators. Yes, I met new people and most of them became my friends. We can have friends even if we don't know the person personally because it's about sharing thoughts and comforting each other in bad and good times.

Then one time I met this foreigner who came from abroad but currently living in the Davao Philippines. He's living a happy life with his family with always positive thoughts. We interacted with each other through our posts and even contacted each other in discord. Chris is a nice person, he always shared good thoughts and always encouraged people to keep living in life. He was generous, kind, and thoughtful in my understanding. He inspired me as well that I was doing good in writing and kept it up. Of course, I felt honored and thankful for his words because it's one of the reasons why I'm giving my best to be better in writing.

Months passed, and we rarely interacted with each other. It's not that I forgot him and he forgot me. There were just things that needed to be prioritized because we knew that time might pass but our friendship wouldn't. Then I heard or learned that he's not doing good. I don't know exactly what happened so it's better for me not to share my thoughts about it. I was worried, he is a friend and always is, and worrying about a friend is normal. I sent a private message on his Facebook to eagerly learn what was happening to him. Unfortunately, I didn't receive a reply and I remained worried.

This month I was surprised that he sent me a friend request on Facebook. I wondered why but I know he has reasons and what I can do for him is to comfort him but not to question his actions. I didn't ask too many questions but I only asked how he was. He told me he was fine and that reason was enough to feel at ease and stopped my worries towards him.

Today is his birthday and I want to wish him a happy happy birthday. I wish him a healthy life with his family and friends. Though all I can do is to say these words I hope it will reach him and appreciate it. Well, a birthday getting will not be complete without a short message.

To Chris (loving-kindness@loving-kindness),

You are amazing Chris. You are loved by many people. The worries you're having will not always be there. Don't be afraid to reach out to friends, especially to me. I will be there, my shoulders and ears are always open for you. Don't hesitate but be confident that I will not leave you if you need my help. All I want is to make sure you are safe and doing good. Always remember that there are no problems that can not be solved. You just need someone to solve it together for it not to be that heavy. Again, happy happy birthday. Stay safe and be well all the time.

Paul

Paul is the name but prefers to be called mrnightmare that feels like living in the dream. A country boy and a dreamboy (dreamer) who likes to stay in a small village even though it means abandoning the future to become a seaman. The passion is writing but not sailing in the vast ocean. Don't wonder if the face will not be shown, this is better where the words can flow smoothly. Come, you can tell me your stories and I'll tell you mine. Together, let's explore the world by broadening our thoughts. If you need a shoulder I can lean you mine and I hope I can lean yours. The world is fun when living is not being alone but with someone.
