Today is another beautiful day, but today feels extra special because it is a special day for my eldest child. A few days ago, we made a simple agreement between the two of us. It was just a small conversation, but it meant a lot to him because he has been doing his best at school.
I told him that if he could collect many stars at school, I would take him to the playground so he could play and have fun. It was a simple promise, but for him, it became something exciting to look forward to. Every day, he would try his best to behave, participate, and do well in school because he knew that his stars would bring him closer to his reward.
Today, I am happy and proud because he was able to keep his part of our little agreement. Seeing him excited and happy makes my heart so full. Sometimes, as parents, we think we need to give our children big and expensive things to make them happy, but moments like
this remind me that even simple promises and quality time can mean so much to them.
I鈥檓 grateful that I get to witness his little achievements and celebrate them with him. Today is not just about going to the playground. It is about keeping a promise, appreciating his effort, and creating a beautiful memory together. I hope he continues to work hard, believe in himself, and always remember that I am proud of him.
Every night after I finish my classes, he is always waiting for me because he wants to borrow my laptop to play with his cousins. As his mother, it makes me happy to see that he knows how to wait patiently and understands that he cannot always get what he wants immediately. I may not be able to give him everything he asks for, but I always try to give what I can, whenever I can. As long as it is within my ability, I will gladly provide it for my child. Seeing him happy, enjoying time with his cousins, and simply being a kid is already enough to make me happy.
