His routine was basic, but he showed me a lot of fluidity with his agility and dynamism in his static tricks (ironic, right?). Even though he hasn't mastered his tricks, there's something that makes watching him do calisthenics fun. Maybe it's his posture, maybe it's the way he does it, but if I'm sure of one thing after training 脕ngel and advising at least a dozen Hive calisthenicians, it's that this kid, with a good combination of dynamic and static tricks, would become unstoppable. Only time and appreciation for the sport will determine whether this future will materialize or not.
If you've been doing push-ups since you were 12 and are starting calisthenics yourself, there are two things to keep in mind: he loves the sport and he's disciplined. That same day, he showed me a video in which he did a planchette on two malt bottles; I was impressed, and if he got to that point with a planchette that he's clearly mastered, I can't imagine what he could achieve with training and a well-executed full planche. But not only that, I'm curious to see his potential in dynamic exercises, how and how quickly he will develop in this area of calisthenics. That's all for today, and I hope to see you in my next post.
