Entrenamiento Lento, Modo: Est谩ticos 馃 [ESP|ENG]
Slow Training, Mode: Static 馃 [ESP|ENG]
Hablando de Back lever, deber铆a aprender a hacerlo a una mano, es un truco tan f谩cil pero a煤n as铆 los d铆as malos no perdonan y el back lever no fue la excepci贸n.
Let me tell you: normally my day starts with dynamic combos to loosen up the body (after warming up and stretching, obviously), but since my hand was still sore from the recent callus, I decided to try my static exercises in my current condition. I started with the front lever touch. I've been practicing this static exercise for a few weeks, and although I've had my bad days with the regular front lever, I seem to get along better with this version. I lasted exactly 2.99 seconds before falling, so I'm on the right track. If I keep this up, I hope to last longer with my static moves, like the front lever, the touch, and the back lever, as I've noticed a slight increase in strength in my arms.
Speaking of the back lever, I should learn how to do it one-armed. It's such an easy trick, but even so, bad days are unforgiving, and the back lever was no exception. Just my first attempt at a press, and I felt like I'd been doing it for 20 seconds straight. My wrists ached, my forearms burned. I only lasted 5 seconds, and even then, I didn't have perfect form. This is definitely why I prefer to start with dynamic moves. They make my body lighter, they make me feel stronger before static moves bring me back to reality, but I didn't want to give up so quickly. I still had one trick I couldn't do...
The handstand was one of my first tricks I couldn't do due to the lack of practice I've had with it. It took me not two, not three, but five attempts to maintain a decent handstand. I didn't align my body properly, I didn't bring my legs together, and I could definitely stretch my arms further, but I held on long enough to last the longest three seconds of my life in a handstand. When I came down, I realized I couldn't do it anymore, so I looked at the free bar and kept my mind focused. Now it's time for the dynamics.
That's all for today. I hope to see you in my next post.
