I just concluded putting this dress together before breathing out this heavy sigh in prayers that the owner of the dress will appreciate what the dress looks like now and just accept the outfit off my hands today.

This is one of the challenge we often face in fashion when a designers fashion sense is different from that the clients and owner of the outfit. I made this dress over a week ago but the outfit is still stuck with me. The owner of the dress doesn't like the white embellishments I have used for the dress here, it looks somewhat flashy to her taste. She desires something a little cooler than the white.

I have had a couple of persons commend this design here but since the owner doesn't like this I have to creatively come out with other designs that will make the cloth appealing to her. The owner is an elderly mother whom I adore so much my best friends mum and you know how a blessing it can be to satisfy elderly people making them happy..

I took down the entire work I did on the dress earlier and started to work it out again.

Momma wants pockets on her dress and I wasn't quit familiar with how to do this but since its what she wants I have to work it out

Having cut two pocket pieces here, I proceeded to YouTube to learn how to fix pockets, as I sincerely do not know how to fix pockets on a flair dress like this.

After fighting with the pocket for some good hours I was able to successfully fix in the pocket

Stitching the pocket to the dress here.

Next I took out my pack of embroidery and continued the search for what fit in the dress well.

Taking this royal blue accessories I began to sew it ok the seam lines from the process styline on the bust down to the waist and then the sleeves

I stitched up the dress one more time and here we are back again with it in another look. I hope that mamma will appreciate her dress this time around as customer satisfaction is center of any business

Which of the two designs would you prefer.
The one with white embroider or the one in blue ?
This is basically thesame style but different design finishing. My only concern is that she accepts the lew look of the dress.

Sometimes times I can sew certain outfits for free especially for elderly people like my friends mum and those that are very close to me but if it warrants that I take some tokens from her I will appreciate that too as we need the money to survive too. We all are hoping that our skills will make way for us but before then you have to be able to satisfy a customer before they can pay you any money at all..
