A very beautiful morning to us all, I hope that we all had a wonderful night rest and are chilling enough for the weekend. Monday will kick in soon enough or in split seconds and you will see people complaining about how they had a very short rest. People hardly get enough rest in a harsh economy, one ends up working from pillar to post to meet their needs.

Yesterday we have continued our groundnut harvesting and were able to pick some more of the nuts home. These hear much of the groundnuts didn't do well because of the drought that affected it in between while it was growing. The leaves didn't get burnt and were able to recover when the rains resumed but it affected a bit of it's productivity and the nuts didn't produce as many of as possible or like it used to produce before.
Inviting more people for harvest wio mean that we will have as many people to share with and may not end up having some good quantity to save up. We used go process the nuts and then save them dry for further use during the dry season.

On our way back we spotted that the planted soya beans was sprouting. And I'm very greatly impressed by its growth. The first time I had grown soya beans, the weather condition and timing of planting intercepted the growth of the plant and even though it started growing very well, everything ended poorly.
The bean produced it's seeds during the periods of heavy rainfall in September and before we could harvest or pick them up, they got rotten.

I have been following up on the timing of the planting and growth of this soya bean. And for it to be producing seeds in the month of October close to the period the rains will be over, the seeds will not meet with any challenge. October will signal the end of rain and after then the soya beans can be harvested dried and clean. Hence when trying to plant soya beans next time the best timing would be between July/August to evade some poor weather conditions that might interfere with the growth of the plant. This timing will also vary from state to state based on changing weather condition.
