"Brick Mansions* was the kind of action movie that kept things moving. There was hardly a dull moment, and if you enjoy fighting, chasing, guns and crazy stunts, this movie had plenty of them.
The story was set in a dangerous area of Detroit called Brick Mansions. The place had become so violent and unsafe that the government had built a huge wall around it and separated it from the rest of the city. Inside, gangs were in control, and the police had very little power.
The main character was Damien Collier (Paul Walker), an undercover police officer who was sent into Brick Mansions to stop a dangerous situation. His mission became more complicated when he had to work with Lino Dupree (David Belle).
Lino was not your typical action character. He knew the streets, knew how to survive and wasn't afraid to take risks. What really made him interesting was his parkour skills. He could jump over walls, run across rooftops and move through the city in ways that made some of the chase scenes really exciting.
I honestly enjoyed watching Lino during the action scenes. His movements were fast and sometimes unbelievable. There were moments when I wondered how he was able to jump from one place to another without getting himself killed.
Paul Walke was different from Lino. He was calmer and more focused because of his police background. The two men didn't have the same personality or approach to problems, but somehow they worked well together.
Then there was Tremaine Alexander (RZA), the man causing most of the trouble inside Brick Mansions. He was dangerous, powerful and unpredictable. His presence made things even more difficult for Damien and Lino.
One thing I liked about the movie was the way Damien and Lino slowly became partners. At first, they didn't completely trust each other, but they had no choice but to work together. Their different personalities also made some of their interactions interesting.
The movie wasn't perfect, though. Some parts of the story felt unrealistic, and there were moments when the action was more believable than the actual plot. But I don't think Brick Mansions was trying to be a very complicated movie. It was mainly about giving viewers an entertaining action experience.
The car chases were exciting, the fights were intense, and the parkour scenes were definitely a highlight. If you're someone who enjoys movies where characters are constantly running, fighting or trying to escape from danger, this one should keep you entertained.
Another thing that made the movie feel different when I watched it was knowing that it featured Paul Walker in one of his final completed films. Seeing him on screen again gave the movie a more emotional feeling, especially knowing what happened to him afterward.
Overall, Brick Mansions was not a perfect movie, but it was entertaining. The story had its weak moments, but the action, parkour and chemistry between the main characters helped carry it.

I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys action movies with fast-paced fights, dangerous missions, car chases and impressive stunts. It was the type of movie you could sit down, relax and simply enjoy without thinking too hard about every part of the story.
