Hi friends,
Today, as I reflected on some of my past mistakes, I realized that many of them, I mean the ones within my control could be traced back to one thing: indiscipline.
It’s one thing to abstain from something, but it’s entirely different to be disciplined.
What do I mean?
When you are disciplined, you naturally avoid many unnecessary things. But when you’re merely abstaining, you might still find yourself entertaining the very things you’re trying to avoid.
For example, saying:
“I won’t sleep with him, but I don’t mind going to a hotel with him.”
Or
“I don’t smoke or drink, but I don’t mind helping someone else buy them.”
These seemingly harmless compromises can become a deadly trap.
Discipline is not just about avoiding wrongdoing; it’s about making wise choices that keep you from unnecessary temptation.
As a responsible individual, what we need is not just abstinence, but genuine discipline.
Stay intentional. Stay disciplined.
