On a hot summer day, mom forbade her son not to go outside and play at this mid hour of the day; he was already sick. Kids listen to none regarding their desire to play with friends. Twenty minutes are gone, and suddenly another kid rushes to his mother to inform her how his friend fell on the ground and is not responding. Mother panicked and ran instantly to the ground to pick him up and brought him home. He is unconscious, and she is trying her best to do whatever it takes to gain consciousness, but in vain. Father is in his workplace, far from here,he is coming and instructed her to take him to the hospital immediately.
Fortunately, they live within the city and plenty of hospitals within a range of 2 km max. Rickshaw is the only quick option to grab and go. The roads are good too, solid build and strong, but the problem is the lack of a planned road plan and stuff. Being the centre of the whole district, this city needs to face a huge amount of people every day; their rush makes the whole city standstill, and there are mighty traffic jams.
So, as usual, in midday traffic jams I am waiting for it to get cleared. Without any important tasks, I avoid going through those hotspots that remain highly crowded. During peak hours, the alternative roads that go through local areas are also congested.
So yeah, I am on my rickshaw, the wheels are at a standstill, and everyone has emergencies bigger than one another. Suddenly I noticed that mother and son, she was crying and praying for this congestion to get cleared as soon as possible. All the rickshaws have motors here, so it would have taken fifteen minutes at max if the roads were clear. Now she has been waiting for more than twenty minutes straight in the same spot. No, she can't take any alternatives as things are the same everywhere.
The wheels are moving slowly, and her eyes sparkled on seeing that. No matter how slowly the wheels move in a traffic jam, to her, this is the ray of hope that it's going to be cleared. A few tried to pass them first, but the situation was beyond control. After a little bit, their lane was cleared somehow, thanks to a few kind-hearted souls who helped.
The wheels started to roll again. Hopefully, they won't need to stop as the hospitals are nearby.
The first portion is imagery; something like that may had happened, and the rest is true and seen often. Sometimes getting stuck in a traffic jam might not bother you, but in an emergency, especially one like I just described is terrible. At such moments every spin from the wheels gives a ray of hope that the jam is cleared and it will roll to my destination soon. There were numerous times when I did monitor every single spin from the wheels and got relived that its moving finally.
Some get to achieve what they were chasing and some dont. I dont know whats written on that kids fate but I really hoped that their journey back to home shouldnt be miserable like the one she went through now.
