Helping hands should always spread out for others. People do try too. I always try my level best to help others as much as I can. Sometimes I try to go beyond my capability. That's where the problem is. I do admire and always desire to help others. But sometimes we should act as our limits and capabilities too. We must stand and say that we can't help this time if that's not possible for us. This won't be a good idea to hamper yourself on the way to help someone else.
A few days ago I got a call to help an old friend of mine. He asked for some money, without giving a second thought I transferred an amount from my account. Later I found myself stuck because I had few plans for that amount which will be postponed now. When he asked, I couldn't say "No" and helped him. I know he will return as early as he can but the plans I had got delayed which will cause some trouble. Well, this isn’t the only incident I faced, there are numerous such incidents that I felt would have been better if I had just refused. Like once I had to enter as a third person to solve a problem between two people. I am not usually comfortable with these kinds of interference but I was drugged. I solved that on that day but later they found themselves in a bigger quarrel and I was too pissed off.
Actually, we should have the courage and ability to say "NO" if we are not comfortable with something. If our mind doesn’t give consent then how will we be going to get peace from that thing? We gotta listen to our-self before doing anything. We can't always be helpful to others and there is no harm in admitting that. Everyone has some limits too. All we need is to keep checking on our limits and act accordingly without any hesitation. Hesitation, if someone asks for something from me, I hesitate to refuse even if I am not comfortable with that thing. This is a big problem of mine of which I wanna get rid.
Somewhere in a survey, I was asked what I will be doing if my neighbor asks for help when I am going for an urgent meeting and I am already late. That question was something like that, I don't exactly remember. I had selected that I would leave for my work asking forgiveness polity. But in real life I am very poor at doing this, I can’t say that I won’t be able to do it. Very rare for me. I know some would say that it’s so good of you that you can’t help yourself from helping others, I have also admitted that it’s a noble thing that we all should possess but everything has a limit. I repeat again that everything should be within a limit, we mustn’t hamper our own things while helping others. This isn’t just a random opinion coming from me, This is an overall impression coming out from the experiences I have got so far.
