A friend of mine texted me and thanked me for a reason, particularly for advice I had given to them a month earlier. By them, I meant she and her sister, both of them were excited over a matter and asked me for advice. I had said what I felt was right at that moment and suggested them as per my logic and facts. Today they thanked me because I was right and they were to make a wrong step which I had forbidden them to take.

Like in crypto space we see many scam projects and sites, there are also many such things in our practical life too. Many of us became victims of them too. In recent years there has been a rush of such projects around us. There are some mlm business models to trap innocent people, where they approach some level "A" users and ask them to invest some money, they also reward those people and ask them to invite more people to their projects and to earn extra rewards. Suppose those "A" level users bought 10 people each and made them invest in that project. Initially, the extra reward that the project gave to the level "A" users are in their pocket again, which could be more than that amount. They repeat this formula again and again to reach a huge amount of people.

People are seeing their friends and family investing and making profits so they get interested too. They also try to follow them and invest in these schemes. Sometimes they get profit and invest more for a bigger profit and try to drag more people for more rewards. This process keeps going until those project holders get a vast amount of money invested in their project before their final move. They run away with all the money they have collected in the end. Sometimes they get trapped with the law but the general people suffer in the proceedings.

Those two sisters thanked me as they also tried to invest in such a project. I explained the possibilities of being scammed and presented my logic and some past incidents. As they asked for my opinion, I gave them some honest ones. Even I could have invested but I didn't because I knew the probable horrors sides of these kinda things. Some early adopters make some profits and the rest of the followers get stuck in the midway and get drowned. Most of us are followed by greed, we see others making money so easily and jump on them too. I have also seen some early adopters making some profits and investing them again for a larger profit ratio and losing them all. I got friends too who are stuck in these projects and taking mental stress and some are relieved about not stepping on these like me.

Greed on money is a dangerous thing, if not controlled with care may lead us towards destruction. Jumping on something blindly as everyone is jumping is not a valid reason to jump. Try to look at what the thing actually is and then make your move with everyone or against the flow as you see fit.
