There is an election going to be held in the city pretty soon. So there is already a lot of heat spread out all over the city. Different candidates are trying to do many kinds of press conferences and showdowns throughout the city. Each of the showdowns consists of a large number of people, to be more specific a large number of boys who are hired to appear in these showdowns. This is a normal thing here, the more boys on your showdown the more name and fame you gotta spread within the city. On the backend, there are other reasons too. Most of the seats are already selected for who is gonna have, who is gonna win the election, and who isn't. Money has spoken already, it's just some formalities to perform on the field to keep it neat and tidy.
The huge crowd behind the candidate is not hundred percent loyal to him. They are only because of the money they got in exchange for their presence. So the hundreds of boys you are seeing are not the actual supporters. Also, there are some candidates too who have the loyal ones. They needn't hire any of the boys counting money on per head. They are the loyal supporters behind him. But politics are beyond loyalty now, money is the first priority. Dad was saying who was the true capability to get the seats but most of them won't get any. Because the seats are already getting selected, politics is into politics.
So we are living in such a place where you can't really judge with the crowd. If both the candidates and supporters are corrupted then nothing is impossible to happen. Buying support, buying seats have become an easy game now. To cover them up there are some acts on the fields, that's it. These unhealthy practices have spread deeper roots around us. Loyalty is very hard to find, maybe that's why people adore dogs because of their selfless loyalty. How do you feel when someone chooses a dog over a human? That's a shame. Trust, loyalty, honesty are very hard to find nowadays. Those who are trying to hold them, find it very hard to survive in these corrupted systems. I get frustrated when I see the happenings around me, though I try to stay away from these, these are the dirts from which my family has always tried to keep me away. There was a time in my early college life when I used to find these student politics appealing. Soon I saw the negative sides and was encouraged to avoid them as much as I could, so I did.
Tried to get rid of some frustration that I have inhaled today. Fake promises and fake dedication won't be beneficial to society much, eventually, these would lead us to destruction. Still, I hope for some loyal ones who would be thinking of the greater good out of self-interest.
