Look at those wheels, iron ones, on the track. This one is a mammoth, you guys can see from the image, that pulls thousands of passengers from one destination to another every day. One of my favourite transportation mediums.
Every month I need to travel via train multiple times. Currently, this is the best way to travel out of my city. There has been massive construction work ongoing on the highway, which is creating huge suffering for the passengers who travel by bus, car, or bike too. The train journey to my destination can save half of the time compared to the hectic journey on the road. Once the construction work is done, then the suffering, as well as the journey time will be reduced significantly.
So back to train journeys, recently Bangladesh Railway has implemented the most significant change in their system, which is meant to be a blessing for the travellers if that is implemented correctly in a densely corrupted sector. Not going to comment on this now, but I will be doing so in the coming days as I have high hopes for this new system, I am going to wait a little bit.
From my place, there are equal facilities for both bus and train journeys if someone is planning to travel out of the city. In the past, I was comfortable with buses because of their instant services. You don't need to wait for any schedule, no need to purchase tickets in advance, and no extra passengers, but due to the current sufferings on the highway, I had to shift to the train, and guess what, I am loving this more and more.
There is a lot of fun hidden while we plan for train journeys; by we, I mean the people like me who understand this online stuff a little bit and can easily adjust to any changes. So I and my friends often get into this fun stuff; what's the fun? As I mentioned above, there are some deep roots of corruption in railways; the biggest syndicate is to play with the tickets. There are some dishonest employees who manage to take a huge amount of tickets and sell them for higher prices through black marketeers. So when the ticketing period starts, all the tickets will be gone within a few minutes. You have to win the war if you want to pay just the legal amount. Otherwise, you may have one ticket just before the journey with the triple amount of its actual price. Take it or leave it; your call. So we would often get into those wars and secure a ticket for ourselves; there are a few tricks to get ahead of the majority, even to pass through those blackers and have what we wanted. The change I mentioned before is going to strike on this exact vulnerable point; let's hope for the best.
I wanted to write something else but ended up here. Train journeys were always preferable to me, but now it has become the one and only comfortable option when it comes to travelling far from here. Well, I want to end this with one of my inner feelings that I often say, "A train journey with a pair of earphones, a window seat, and my favourite playlist is enough for me to go a thousand miles."
