What interests you most about camp?
Personally I think the most interesting thing about NYSC camp is making friends and getting to meet new people.
There is this pleasure one derives from getting to see new faces everyday; you knowing absolute nothing about the other except their striking or not too attractive appeareance.
Then conversation kick start ranging from the first inquisitive stare to that moment when you can freely tap their arms to times when they can freely cover your eyes from behind, to times when you walk aimlessly around the camp, laughing and gisting.
There are so many things that captures one's heart on Camp, one other area is the Mami Camp. Every Camp has a market where one gets anything that pokes one's desires or curiosity.
Sometimes camp can be such a hell, hence alot of people cannot just wait for break time and then they storm off in dirty socks and brownish white canvas that beg for change.
Again, Mami market is another juicy atmosphere to quench one's Fantasy.
This ranges from taking your fill from the different aroma oozing from the kitchens; frying, boiling, grilling, roasting etc
Another area of interest is that Mami market is filled with people of different designs and shapes; Fat, round, slim, pretty, fragile, elegant, chubby, fleshy etc
Hence, it is not abnormal to see groups of guys sit in a corner and take their daily bread from the sultry movements of ladies in seductive white shorts and sneakers.
After the tensed activities, the market is not also a bad place to step down with a bottle or two.
Hostel Life
Life in the hotel could also be an attraction to others. The hostel is free from crazy soldiers and their brawls. Often times, moments in the hostel are often hilarious as corpers spend most of their times mocking soldiers, mimicking accents and actions and singing parade songs.
Hostel affords one the opportunity to rain insults on soldiers; Ugly head, pig voice, arrogant, Big bum etc lol
Camp Food?
Food on camp also provides juicy topics for corper as they take time to have a good laugh on how the food was underprepared, how it had excess salt or not enough palm oil. Yet after all these, it's laughable to see them run to the tap to wash plates and coolers from last night to join the ever long queue for morning or afternoon meals.
The Parade/ Drill
This part constitutes the bulk of the camp but this doesn't make it 100% enjoyable or devoid of fun because of the stress.
There are so many fun things to look out for on parade ground;
The short round guy standing between tall humans.
The oversized shoes
The see-through white shirt on female bodies
The pot belly soldiers
The pretty girls, the handsome guys
The creepy, dirty, crazy conversations
The long guy in front on the queue awkwardly followed by short guys
Those stealing flirtatious glances at eachother on parade ground.
It goes on and on and on
