Blokees are a build your own toy type model kit. Back in the day they were known as "snap together" versus the kits that required gluing. I preferred the snap together kits because I was young and glue was slightly above my interest level for building model kits (unless it was Mechwarrior or Robotoech/Macross models then I made a mess and barely any finished kits).
Blokees do away with all the hassle of breaking pieces off frames (except hands) and simplifies the process to get a finished model. The process is so simplified that even I can complete one in about 10 to 15 minutes.
If you are looking to buy these there are a few caveats for you to keep in mind.
- They are small
- They do not transform
- There are small parts that can, and will, pop off
- They aren ot suitable for really young fans (buy figurines or simpler tranforming toys for them, safer)
- They are sold in blind boxes so you may end up with duplicates

THese are great if you want to mix and match and create your own Transformer, or see what would happen if two, or more, were combined in weird combinations (like that episode featuring Spike in an Autobots body, or when Ratchet and Megatron combined in the U.S. comics).
