Impossible you say ?!??! well you are kind of right, but it still works, lol.

All we are doing here is using thinly sliced cabbage to replace the pasta in the recipe, simple and somewhat effective.

There are some keto meals which you could eat and would be fooled into thinking they are there standard counterpart, this is not one of those meals. This is more something that 'resembles' what its trying to imitate in appearance but no one is falling for it in the taste department.

Not that its bad, its just not fooling anyone, however, its tastes fine to me and that s all that matters, so this is how i have my 'spaghetti' from now on :)

Ingredients

  • 300g beef mince
  • 400g diced tomato
  • 400g tomato soup
  • 1 onion diced
  • 1 capsicum diced
  • 1 large carrot grated
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 cups of mushrooms
  • 1 beef stock cube
  • 1 tablespoon quinoa seed flour
  • 1 tea spoon (of each) oregano, coriander, parsley, thyme, Italian herbs
  • 1/2 head cabbage thinly sliced
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 hand full of olives optional

Method

Sauce

  • Brown mince and strain
  • Brown onions, garlic, capsicum and mushrooms
  • When onions translucent add remaining ingredients (besides cabbage) stir well
  • Simmer for 10-15 minutes

'Spaghetti'

  • Steam cabbage for 15 minutes

Additional notes

  • The steamed cabbage can get pretty watery, i strain it in a colander, but if that isnt good enough for you you could paper towel it.
  • If the meal is too watery from the cabbage a decent splash of powdered parma will consolidate
  • By the time you hit the bottom of a big bowl like this the taste starts to plateau, but having come garlic cloud bread to pair it with fixes that right up.
