Serving others and meeting my goals. My Actifit Report Card: September 4 2022
I had planned to do 35k steps (reasons below) and devote time to study (for my Beskidy Mts Guide course). However, I felt I should rather spend the day by serving others (two elderly ladies, my church and an Ukrainian refugees family). The plans had collided with one another. .
Giving a ride to my dear +80 yrs old “aunties” precluded walking to church, which meant ~6k steps “lost”. Taking an UA refugee family to beautiful gardens (all photos from there) meant
a) slow walking rather fast paced - another loss in steps made
b) less time for studying (45min driving one way)
I have chosen to serve rather than to go for my personal targets. However, as the day unfolded, while serving the two above mentioned groups (plus some added effort like doing two walks, one at 6am and the other after dark), I still have managed to make my stepping goal. And yet had time to study. Not as much as I had planned, but it was very effective time.
35k steps made today mean:
- secure place in Weekend Three of
@macfit Super League and a good claim for Weekend Four of the same
- significant challenge for my today’s rival in
@poliac Golden League
- prolonged stay at August
@poprzeczka competition and perhaps even securing a place on the podium
The point: serving others is being #AliveAndThriving
