One lake photographed twice within 35 minutes. My Actifit Report Card: August 32 2021
Another rainy day. Water pouring down from the sky and… from my nose. So I stayed at home. I wrote a post about my Saturday’s hike to Rysy, Poland’s highest peak.
The summit of Rysy sits a cross the border of Poland and Slovakia. We chose hiking from the Slovakian side - easier and safer. Along the trail, there’s a beautiful post-glacier lake called “Žabie pleso” (which translates as "Frog’s Pond"). I took two pictures of it as we ascended. The first at 8:46am:
And then from a higher point at 9:19am - so 34 minutes later:
Saying that weather can change quickly in the mountains is not a cliche! 35 minutes and gone is the perfectly blue sky and enters a cloud which fills the whole scene.
