It almost seems as if I'm singing the same song over and over, but truth be told, there's a ton of people who don't really believe the indicators. We have a president who's added debt to the books, but a government who celebrates it's unsustainability.
That being said, if you still doubt, if you think that the doom prophets are just doing their thing because we expect them too, then you are literally shooting yourself in the foot. Look under the hood for once, and understand how the economy has been built. The boom and bust cycles are waves designed to extract wealth from the bottom and move it to the top, nothing more, nothing less.
I've spoken to some friends, who I know to be smart about this, and yet they say that a recession like the one we say in 2008 is years and years away. Years? Really? What data could someone possibly show me as to ease my mind on this subject. It doesn't exist, the data shows the opposite.
The New York Fed's recession indicator is now at its highest since 2008, and as far as I know, mainstream media is not talking about it. Why would they? Everyone is too focused trying to divide the country, and we the people are too entertained fighting each other.
If you are not hedging, and you get caught in the trenches of the bust, upside down, know that the tool to get you out was always an option, but you decided it to "play it safe" again. The truth is that the legacy system is not there to protect the people, the common folk, and when this new bubble explodes, when defaults on student loans peak, when default on auto loans become as common as moss in a swamp, and life gets too expensive to be afforded with the jobs we hate; We will all be standing there remembering these days.
Don't fall asleep on the wheel....
