Up up, down down, left right, left right, B A, select, start.
A sequence I had committed to memory just as well as my own social security number. As a little kid, I was obsessed with Contra, and I got so good at it that I could beat it without dying once.
Yes, I began this little blog with the cheat code, the one that gave you 30 lives. But ironically, after a while, it wasn't about beating the game anymore. It was about not dying a single time. Otherwise, it wasn't a good run.
Why am I talking about this?
Well, as I was remembering my silly ways, I started writing a little lore inspired by Contra, but with Snapie as the main character. I made myself laugh a bit because it got super ridiculous. Then I decided to use my ridiculous little story, my little lore, to make a game out of it.
I wrote a little spec sheet with the help of Claudius Maximus the Third and fed it to the love machine.
I have to say, Lovable has impressed me deeply. So far, it's taken everything I've thrown at it and dished back results I can't complain about in the slightest. Not that I like to complain, but then again, it's part of doing this whole internet clout thing, right?
At any rate, let me get to the point of this post.
The game is live!
Actually, more than one game is live right now. So, you should visit snapie.io and head over to the games section to give them a spin.
I think you'll get a kick out of Snapie fighting the evil machines that are stealing all the RAM sticks and hard drives. Because apparently, information is food, and these evil bastards are hoarding all of it for themselves.
Someone has to do something about that.
MenO
PS. I'm adding my pal @hivetrending as a beneficiary on this post. He's been killing it helping me get snapie-io to where it needs to be.
