Lately I've been thinking about the elements I should add to snapie.io to close the gap with the legacy frontends.
I know I didn't begin this project with the idea of snapie.io becoming a full blown anything. It was supposed to be a thing, and then it became a slightly bigger thing, and then a slightly bigger thing after that.
And, well... here we are.
One of the things I keep coming back to is beneficiaries and voter lists.
For one, I like being able to see who is supporting what content, and who is supporting who, so to speak. Beneficiaries are a slightly different matter, since that is more or less how apps like Snapie get their cut of the cheese.
I've hesitated to add these things mostly because I wonder if they might be confusing to newcomers.
Which is to say, yes, we like these features. I like these features. But perhaps we only like them because we've been here long enough to understand what the hell they are.
Maybe snapie.io should be focused on attracting new blood instead of trying to cater to us dinosaurs.
Then again, I could be completely wrong about that.
This is one of those situations where the only sensible thing to do is probably ask.
What features do you need to have on snapie.io that you currently miss from other Hive frontends?
Is there something you can't live without? Something you would consider a quality of life feature? Something that makes using another frontend just a little bit more pleasant?
I have a list. A pretty long one, actually. There are quite a few things I already want to add, and I'm sure that list is going to keep growing.
And you know what?
I'm perfectly happy to keep adding things, as long as people can convince me they're good ideas.
So tell me.
What is missing?
