PLAZA SAN JUAN DE DIOS

Mis saludos cordiales amigos de #hive y de la #poesia. La ciudad de Camagüey, en Cuba, tiene una magia singular; a ella está dedicada este pequeño homenaje que les presento hoy. Afirmo que posee esa magia, porque caminar por sus calles es trasladarse a tiempos lejanos. Calles muy intrincadas en el centro urbano más antiguo que hacen dudar por donde dirigirse sin tener que volver sobre nuestros pasos: son un laberinto. Fueron trazadas así a propósito para despistar a corsarios y piratas gustosos de frecuentar estas tierras. Su arquitectura se considera patrimonio cultural por la UNESCO, y adentrarse en iglesias y casas es un verdadero retorno al pasado. A esta ciudad la simbolizan sus numerosas leyendas y el tinajón, una vasija de barro enorme, antiguamente utilizada para almacenar el agua de lluvia. Les dejo entonces mi pequeño homenaje.

De tus pasos, el eco se oye

sobre los adoquines de estas calles,resbalando,penetrando a veces las sombras de los que alguna vezfueron encarnados ancestros,llevando sobre sus espaldasel peso inciertodel futuro.

la ciudad duerme apacibleen su cuarto creciente de luna,y adelanta las agujas del relojpara despertar mas temprano,sumergirse en lo cotidianoy la incertidumbre,o lo esperado.

por el centroDe la Plaza de San Juanbebiendo el aire
sorbo a sorbopara entrar en lo arcanodel tiempo suspendido)

En esta noche de abril

la ciudad duerme apacibleen su cuarto creciente de luna,atrapando con la punta de un alalos sueños escapados del vientrede un viejo tinajónrepleto de malos y buenos recuerdos esculpidos

PLAZA SAN JUAN DE DIOS

My cordial greetings friends of #hive and #poetry. The city of Camagüey, in Cuba, has a singular magic; to it is dedicated this small tribute that I present to you today. I affirm that it possesses that magic, because walking through its streets is to move to distant times. Very intricate streets in the oldest urban center that make you doubt where to go without having to retrace your steps: they are a labyrinth. They were designed on purpose to mislead corsairs and pirates who liked to frequent these lands. Its architecture is considered cultural heritage by UNESCO, and entering churches and houses is a real return to the past. This city is symbolized by the tinajón, a huge clay pot formerly used to store rainwater, and its many legends. I leave you then my small tribute.

Of your footsteps the echo is heard

on the cobblestones of these streets
