Dueño de la sonrisa

que se dibuja en el viento,

juega con los cabellos

que se mueven con pena.

Su figura, algo inquieta,

solo finge un olvido,

o tal vez, el sonido

de aquella primavera.

Quiéreme, eso sí,

de a poquito y sin penas,

tal vez un poco ingrato,

cantando una canción.

Solo somos recuerdos

o sueños que se quiebran,

y, esta noche, sin pausas,

tócame con pasión.

English version:

Owner of the smile

drawn upon the wind,

play with the hair

that moves with sorrow.

His figure, somewhat restless,

merely feigns a forgetting,

or perhaps, the sound

of that springtime.

Love me, yes,

little by little and without grief,

perhaps a bit ungrateful,

singing a song.

We are only memories

or dreams that shatter,

and, tonight, without pause,

touch me with passion.
